Sam brings over 30 years of extensive experience in the healthcare industry, specializing in supply chain management, strategic partnerships, and contract negotiations. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Supply Chain at Blood Centers of America (BCA), Sam provides strategic leadership and oversight for the organization’s contracted supply partners, including logistics, manufacturing, and distribution. His responsibilities encompass the development, optimization, and implementation of BCA’s contract portfolio to ensure member organizations have access to high-quality, cost-effective resources.

Before joining BCA, Sam held a leadership role in medical supply distribution as National Accounts Director, where he managed complex client relationships and developed customized supply chain solutions. He also spent six years in group purchasing with VHA/Provista, where he played a pivotal role in supplier negotiations, cost containment strategies, and operational efficiency improvements for member organizations.

In his current role, Sam is instrumental in driving supply chain innovation and operational excellence, focusing on risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the continuity of supply for BCA members. His proactive approach ensures the alignment of supplier partnerships with organizational goals, enhancing value and service delivery across the network.
