• 500ml (± 10%)
• Mixed during collection into one of these anticoagulants: CPD, CP2D, or CPDA-1
• Hematocrit: >38%
• Shelf-life: 21 days or 35 days (in CPDA-1)
• Rarely used for transfusion as component therapy has proven more efficacious
